For those of you who follow this blog, you may recall that my first children’s novel  My New Zealand Story Canterbury Quake was published last year. I am very excited that it is a finalist in the Children’s Choice category of the New Zealand Children’s and Young Adults Awards this year. The event will be held in Wellington in August and it really is a dream come true to be a finalist. No matter the outcome, it really is an amazing feeling knowing that children throughout New Zealand have liked my book and voted it through to the finals.

Those children in New Zealand under the age of 18 are able to vote for their choice to see who the final winner will be. And yes – this is a chance for you to vote for my book if you feel so inclined. Of course I would love it if you did!
