Merlin’s blade
By Robert Treskillard

Blink a new YA imprint

I have just discovered Blink, a new imprint for great new young adult titles. Their line-up is so exciting.
One of the first is Merlin’s Blade which is Book 1 in the Merlin Spiral series. Most of us have grown up knowing something of the tales of Merlin but this is a whole new facet. I haven’t seen the book here in New Zealand yet but I know it is available overseas. I will be waiting in anticipation for its arrival on our shores. I have to say all the reviews I have read are hugely positive so that makes this title even more exciting.

From Blink
“A strange meteorite. A deadly enchantment. And only Merlin can destroy it. A meteorite brings a mysterious black stone whose sinister power ensnares everyone except Merlin, the blind son of a swordsmith. Soon, all of Britain will be under its power, and he must destroy the stone—or die trying.”

  1. Thanks for the great plug!

You should be able to order it locally in NZ, and I found the following websites that appear to have it available. Either way, any bookshop should be able to order it through a distributor handling HarperCollins books.

    • Thanks for the links Robert. Yes we have some wonderful bookshops here in NZ but often we have to wait a month or so before the suppliers get their copies from overseas. It does happen and we have very eager readers here. We can always buy direct from overseas but I feel I need to support our local shops, especially here in Christchurch when we lost so many bookshops after the earthquakes so waiting isn’t really an issue. Thanks again for stopping by. Desna
