I love reading Funke’s work. Her use of language is at times simply beautiful.

This book came out awhile back but am just starting to read now.

I am number four
The Lorien Legacies
by Pittacus Lore

“There were nine of us who escaped… Three are dead. I am number four”

Loved this book. Not really a sci-fi fan but read this book in a day. The movie tralier looks different but most movies do stray a bit from the original text. Check out the book trailer first, read the book and then maybe see the movie. Aliens, war and a bit of romance.

Neil Gaiman writes some wonderful and very unique books. Here, Nobody Owens, is a young boy who has been raised in a graveyard by ghosts. A great read for intermediate up.
